This wasn’t our ideal way to introduce our new method of keeping you our listeners informed, but after our first run through, we quickly discovered that you our listeners were going to get two copies of every announcement sent to the Announcements Mailing List, so we fixed it. Unfortunately, a slip up occurred where a message that you the listener wasn’t supposed to be see get publicly broadcasted on our website and mailing list. We assure you, if you are a member of the Sky 106 Announcements Mailing List, you have not been unsubscribed. We do sincerely apologies and can only hope it doesn’t happen again.
Alright, with all that out of the way, we’d like to explain the new look to some of the announcements you might see in our mailing list for our loyal listeners. If a prese3nter chooses to post to our website as well as our the Announcements Mailing List, you might notice a header in the body. This is due to the fact that the presenters don’t actually post to the mailing list but to our website and in turn, it posts to our mailing list. Not all our DJ’s may opt to do this, especially if it’s not a significantly important announcement. Thus being subscribed to the Sky 106 Announcements Mailing List is still definitely encouraged. For example, one announcement that won’t be posted on our website is our weekly schedule, simply because there’s no need to post it on the website, since the schedule already exists on our website. The purpose of the weekly schedule was simply convenience for the listener to see any announcements regarding shows being on hiatus or coming soon, that may not necessarily get announced on our website as it happens.
So, we hope this has made things less confusing and hope you’ll pardon our huge massive boo-boo that got sent out earlier in the Sky 106 Announcements Mailing List. Should you have any questions, feel free to contact us through our contact form located at http://www.sky106.net/contact/ and someone from management will do there best to get back to you as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience and keep listening to Sky 106, where you get variety out of the clear blue sky!
